French Toast

Versi I

Bahan:
4 butir telur
150 ml susu cair
75 gr tepung terigu
75 gr gula pasir
1,5 sdt ekstrak vanili
1/4 sdt garam
1/8 sdt kayu manis bubuk
3 sdm mentega
6 potong roti tawar

garnish: sirup maple atau madu, gula bubuk dan mentega

cara membuat:
1. kocok terigu, susu, gula, telur, vanili, garam, dan kayu manis
2. panaskan wajan dgn api sedang. Setelah panas, masukkan 1 sdm mentega, jika setelah mentega dimasukkan wajan berasap artinya terlalu panas, kecilkan apinya.
3. celupkan roti tawar ke kocokan telur sekitar 30 detik setiap sisi, tiriskan.
4. Masukkan roti ke wajan, masak sekitar 1,5 – 2 menit per sisi atau sampai kuning keemasan. Tambahkan mentega bila dibutuhkan.
5. Sajikan tiga potong french toast untuk satu piring, ayak gula bubuk diatasnya dan beri sirup maple di sisi piring.

Versi II

Ingredients:
8 slices of bread
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
fat or butter
powdered sugar

Directions:
Mix together eggs, milk and flour and pass through a strainer.
Dip slices of bread into the mixture and fry in the fat or butter on both sides in a frying pan. Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Versi III

Ingredients:
12 slices bread, 1/2 inch thick
3 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Beat the eggs, add the milk and salt. Dip slices of bread into this mixture and saut=E9 in a little hot fat until a delicate brown.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot.
